Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
To everything there is a season and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to uproot. A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to build up. A time to weep and a time to laugh. A time to mourn and a time to dance. A time to scatter stones and a time to gather them. A time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing. A time to search and a time to give up. A time to keep and a time to throw away. A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to keep silent and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate. A time for war and a time for peace.
A season for everything. A time for every, thing. That’s the rhythm of the macrocosm (our large universe) and the microcosm (our individual universe). Outwardly and inwardly we experience season changes.
In nature, seasons are predictable in timing. We know with the turn of the calendar, what to expect in the atmosphere; however, seasons of our souls are much less foreseeable. Without warning, there can be a change in our environment, which affects the climate of our inner being. And sometimes, there is little change in our surroundings, yet inwardly our souls feel permeated by an unfamiliar temperature.
Soul seasons are unpredictable, unavoidable, but not unfruitful, when watered with the Word.
It’s important on this journey, to have our Father’s perspective of our season. We will most likely, never know the duration, but it is imperative to know the classification. In other words, we need His Word, to clarify of our climate. His Word enables us to withstand, well.
His Word enables us to withstand, well.
Solomon advises that there is a time for EVERY activity under heaven. He follows that declarative, with description. The descriptions are implications of appropriate responses in specified seasons. Surrendering to those responses, establishes health and growth within our souls. We inevitably spend hours, minutes and seconds of time in a state of activity confined within Solomon’s list. Some seasons are short, some are long, but all are crucial to our souls formation.
As we weather each season with attention to His intention, our souls mature.
It’s essential to live in the fullness of each set time for optimum growth in subsequent seasons. Just as set times are vital for fruit production in the natural realm, each time period has purpose in yielding fruit in the soul realm.

If we move in haste, rather then press in and wait, His purposes lie unfulfilled. Crop failure is certain.
Season revelation invites fruit fruition.
Each season must be fully
lived into,
to live into,
the fullness of His grace.
John 1:16
For of His fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.
Surrendering to His purpose and sowing within us His Word, enriches the souls soil, perpetuating a harvest of abundant grace within each season.
The souls sediment becomes a cumulative layer of grace upon grace, which yields a harvest of abundant life and peace.
